Materials:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in pastel yellow and light blue
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5 mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

16 sc and 20 rows = 4 inches

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Washcloth:

1. With yellow yarn, ch 31.
2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (30 sc)
3. Rows 2-30: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn.
4. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Flower Appliqué:

1. With blue yarn, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, 10 sc into ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (10 sc)
3. Round 2: *Ch 2, sl st in next st; repeat from * around. (5 petals)
4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
5. Sew the flower onto a corner of the washcloth.

Finishing:

Weave in all remaining ends. Your floral washcloth is ready to use or gift!
